Summary:
The aim of this investigation is to analyse the ratio of perimeter/diameter in regular polygons in an attempt to find a general formula for those with an even number of sides, and those with an odd number of sides. Upon gathering results from the investigation, a secondary objective will be to draw a parallel between this and Archimedes’ studies of polygons; and more specifically the correlation with his findings on the properties of circles.
